Re: [APML] Mount features and tracking

I have a G-11, which has guide rates of .3x, .5x, and 2x.  When photographing with a C9.25 and guiding at f/10 (2350mm), the ST-4 sometimes has a tendency to overcorrect, so I often calibrate at .5x and guide at .3x.

Subject: [APML] Mount features and tracking

List,

I have an older A-P mount with no PEM (PEC), declination backlash compensation, or guide rates less than 1X.  Apparently, there is a hand controller available that has these additional features.  Are there any advantages to having any of these features when tracking with an ST-4, esp. the fractional guide rates?   Thanks in advance.
