I am not sure about a fourth layer.
It seem to work pretty good on Orion,the Horsehead,
and Rosette.
Know I am no expert or anything on this subject.
Also a little color blind.

Does the Fuji NPH 400 have the "fourth layer" technology, because if it does, I can guarantee it will be useless for imaging anything that has red ... I did some tests and anything that has that "fourth layer" is very strong in the cyan-green and blind to red...
