RE: [APML] sprintscan question

Mike
The SprintScan 35 LE and ES scanners capture images at 10 bits per color;
the Plus captures images at 12 bits per color. The scanners convert the
image data into 8 bits per color (256 levels per color).
The plus would be the best choice and probably newer also.

Subject: [APML] sprintscan question

Hi List,

I'm looking into purchasing my first negative scanner and doing away with
the dreaded flatbed.
Im looking at a Polaroid sprintscan 35 and a 35 le
These are going on ebay anywhere from $200 to $350 and thats about the limit
I will have to spend on one.
I know alot of you use the sprintscan's. Would either one do a good job for
the money on astro negs with vuescan which I already have ? Of course
anything has to be better than a flatbed.

Thanks in advance
