I would:
* Increase the shadow levels to better show faint
nebulosity.
* Smooth the image a bit more, because the faint
nebulosity will be grainy.
You're probably right, I was trying not to use too much smoothing, to try to keep the detail as clean as possible. I may start over and try it again.
* I noticed that the AV did not completely address the
vignetting in the corners (except the lower right is
fine) and the top edge. Just stretch the image a lot to
see that.
One of the images had quite a bit of vignetting, camera opening too small, and they weren't all aligned the same. I need to work on that corner a little more. The problem is it really is a hard stop.
