Scott,

For three years I used a dew heater on a 8" F4 schmidt newtonians corrector
plate with no ill effects, also, I had a homemade dew heater on my camera
lens the night of the Leonid's. Didnt see anything that would make me think
not to use them. Sometimes you have no choice but to use them.
