Re: [APML] Skill [was: Foveon Chip]
A friend of mine graduated with a masters in fine art, I once asked her
"What is fine art?" Her first response was a sarcastic "It is a painting
done with a very very thin brush".
She answered my question with "What is woodworking?".
It all depends on your background, beliefs, personal likes and dislikes,
etc etc.
The person who can define "Fine Art" and have everyone agree on the
definition can also answer the question "If a married man is alone on a
mountain top with his telescope and utters a thought, is he still
wrong?"
Having all the latest and greatest toys is nice, knowing how to get the
most from what you have is priceless. Dollars will never replace the
result of experience and knowlege, otherwise the AP world would have
been taken over by Microsoft with a robotic mount and remote scopes.

Barn door? Luxury!!! When I was a lad we had to hand hold the brownie
box camera for ten hours and manually rotate at the sidereal rate...
