Re: [APML] Foveon Chip

Hi Chris,

A reasonably bright person with a lot of money can take a technically decent astro-image. I think it takes artistic talent, a good eye, a lot of experience, and a big dose of "ass kung fu" to make a world-class image. A case in point: Last spring I went with a friend (a noted photographer) to photograph the California poppies near Lancaster. He let me use his 4X5 field camera and I took a dozen photographs. All of my images were well focused and technically sound, but compared to his work they were really quite mediocre. Same day, same camera, same subject but oh, what a difference the photographer makes. <g>
