Re: [APML] OT: Wind?

Hi Mike -
Are you kidding.........? Heck no! I was going to head to Tierra del Sol
last night but after getting wind reports of 75mph on Mt. Laguna and 50+ mph
near Campo(about 10 miles from TDS) I decided to stay home. Even if the
wind did totally die down, there is so must dust and crap in the air the
transparency would've been absolutely terrible.
Even here at the coast where we normally do not get the really high winds
like the Cajon Pass and Santa Ana canyon region, I estimated them to be
around 50+ mph around 1:30am last night. Small tree branches and misc.
garbage(paper and plastic bags etc) we flying through the air. It was
truly the strongest Santa Ana condition I've experienced at the coast since
I moved here 11 years ago. And to make things worse, there is a very large
fire south of me in what looks to be the Elsinore Mountains near Camp
Pendleton. The smoke is drifting over my home right now.
