[APML] Very Deep Seagull Nebula



A few weeks ago Chuck Vaughn posted a suggestion that the APML ought to
consider adjusting its policy toward inviting posts that are CCD related
and materially related to film as well.  I really don't know what the
outcome of that discussion was.  I admit that I was put off by what I
saw as a significant number of posts that seemed to reject CCD
altogether.  Due to my emerging interest in CCD and due to significant
element of resistance to exploring CCD on the APML, I have shifted most
of my on-line discussion to the SBIG and and FLI users groups.  This
opening paragraph is intended to position this message as a "trial
balloon".

Here is a CCD/film collaboration Steve Mandel and I did.  The frames
didn't align perfectly, hence the triangular regions:
