Re: [APML] bulk film questions
List
Regarding film storage, someone ( I don't recall who) on the list mentioned
vacuum sealed bags recently.I have been keeping my LE 400 film in the
freezer sealed in Food Saver brand vacuum bags.
Some of the film has been frozen for at least 2 years and I'm hoping that
sealed in the bags will help prevent problems with the freeze/thaw cycle of
the frost free freezers that's been mentioned before on the list. I don't
have enough knowledge to test the film so I wouldn't be able to tell if
there was damage or not. I would like to hear comments. Is this a valid film
storage method?
Also, I would offer that several brands of vacuum sealers are available and
some don't pull much of a vacuum. This brand uses heavy bags and pulls a
pretty good vacuum. I'm not able to measure it though.
