Fred:
Yes, condensation is part of the warm up process........BUT it should not be 
forming on the film itself. 
Hopefully, you have placed the film is a container (ZipLock freezer bags?) 
with a dessicant before it was put in the fridge or freezer. When you remove 
it for use, condensation may form on the outside of the container but not on 
the film itself.
Depending on the relative humidity, allowing the film to come to 'room temp' 
should take about an hour or two.
