[APML] Version 2.50

Hi All,

I have an 8" LX-200 with V 2.50 electronics.  The OTA is newer, but the
person I bought it from swapped the electronics with an older 10".

1) Is it worthwhile for me to upgrade to the latest V?  I now have a wedge
and a 35mm camera and will (eventually) pursue long exposure
astrophotography.

2) Is the single star alignment a huge detriment in lieu of getting a good
polar alignment, or can I get just as good of an alignment as with the
latest electronics?

3) Anyone doing AP with the 2.50 Version that has some input?
