    There is an easy solution to using 48mm filters with the
AP field flattener and 35mm adapter.  Take a look at the adapter
end which faces the field flattener lens.  You will see what
looks like a threaded surface.  A 48mm holder like Lumicon uses
for their 48mm filters will partially thread into that funnel.
I used lock tight to make it more permanent.  You can then
unscrew the two piece filter holder and place any 48mm filter
in it.  Most of the images on my webpage were taken with this

    AP sells the 35mm adapter separately so you can buy an
extra one and epoxy the filter holder in it for a more permanent
configuration.
