[APML] TV-85 or ?
Hey all,
After weeks of trying to decide how and where to spend my hobby money for
the year, I finally settled on two pieces of new equipment.
1. A refracting OTA to mount on top of the 12" LX200. I have a Losmandy
dovetail plate up there now so all I'll need is rings.
2. An entry level CCD (gasp) imager of the one shot color variety.
The OTA should be compact and able to do a good job on M31, N.A. Nebula and
other large DSO's. My first impression is that the TV-85 seems almost ideal.
600mm focal length should be about right. Price is not much of an object.
Primary purpose, photography. I would greatly appreciate any input from
users of this type of scope as I have little knowledge of the current crop
of refracters. Orion Vixen 102-ED F/6.5, TMB, I'd like to hear about them.
Anyone with advice about #2 can use my personal e-mail as this subject is
taboo here.
Many thanks in advance,
Alan
