[APML] Large Used Nikkor Lenses

I stopped by a little camera shop the other day and noticed a 
couple of large, used 35 mm Nikkor lenses for sale as a pair. They 
were both labeled Nikkor-P.  One was a 600 mm f/5.6 and had a 
stop at f/4.5, the other was 800 mm f/8.  The asking price for the 
pair was US$1400.  Does anyone know anything about these 
lenses and whether this is a good deal or not?  They both had the
old style bayonet mount, I think.
