Jim,

Thanks for pointing this out.  Aside from the consistency issue, I'm getting 
a bit tired of manual agitation in total darkness.  Eight minutes of 
developing this way seems like an hour, especially after doing a half-dozen 
test strips sequentially.

Do you know if the Jobo tank will hold my 3.4" diameter round film chips in 
an effective manner?

I have used Cibachrome processing tubes in the distant past and still have a 
drum roller and several tubes.  Thanks for reminding me about it, I had 
totally forgotten about this gear tucked away on a top shelf.  I wonder if 
this method would work for round film chips?  It's easy enough to check.
