***SPAM*** Re: [APML] Konica VX 400?
Ray and Alan,
The Centuria that I tested was from OPT, their early batch. It has the
distinction of being about the best color negative film I know of that is
"currently available" for astropics. However, it was way down on
sensitivity compared to past great astro films like Supra and RG200 hypered.
Now it's availability is much in question.
Another thought is that maybe the VX400 is the same film. I haven't tried
any, so I can't say for sure. There was a question last summer about the
Konica "Super Centuria 400" vs the "Centuria 400". I think Cris Shur tested
the "Super Centuria" while I tested the "Centuria". I think they were
pretty much the same. So Konica has apparently packaged the film under
different names in the past. Also, the UPC on the film I had was
3316736383, different from the ones Ray mentioned. I'm not sure that UPC
codes can be relied on to identify the film.
