Alan,

I guess that there were three main reasons for switching to Vuescan as
opposed to the native software that came with my Minolta Dimage Scan Dual
III.

1. More precise control over various parameters;
2. The capability of the "raw scan" function; and
3. The fact that so many APMLers are using the software means a large pool
of resources against which to ask questions.
