Re: [APML] Owner of a New Takahashi FSQ-106

Its a lovely little telescope. I've had one since march '04 and
really like it. My visual friends think its just an astrograph,
but they are amazed when they look through it. Last weekend
we had a decent view of saturn at like 500x (with the extender-Q,
barlow, 5mm eyepiece)

As for the FOV.. I use it with a pentax67 and, depending on
sky glow, exposure time, etc, there is a mild hotspot which
requires fixing in post processing. I also notice light
fall off near the edges, but this is ever so slight and only
noticible during post processing.

One major major upside on the FSQ is the _flat field_.
Flat to the edge of the pentax67. Very nice.

(Btw, using the FSQ w/ a tiny CCD sensor, and wasting so
many photons seems like a crime.)
