RE: [APML] M81, M82 and NGC 3077
Hey Alan,
I got unlazy and opened up Cartes du Ciel to look. Oh and I spotted another smudge in your pic, directly below M82 towards the bottom.
Doesn't look like they are in the NGC catalog, but they have PGC and UGC numbers (not sure what those stand for...Principle Galaxy Catolog and ??)
In the lower left:
PGC28563 / UGC 5302.
Dimension 1.9 / 1.7'
Surface brightness: 15.54
RA: 9h 54m 18s Dec: +68* 10' 60"
Below M82:
PGC28255 / UGC 5247
Dimension 1.7 / 0.8'
Surface brightness: 15.19
RA 9h 49m 12s Dec: +69* 25' 00"
Look at that...mag 15.54!
It also calls out one right next to M81 but I can't see that in the pic.

Ya know, that is no way to look at a shot. 8-)
When I checked for dust, scratche, etc... I saw one or two other little
fuzzies beside 3077. I don't know, there is nothing listed at that
location on my Sky Atlas 2000. If anyone finds out, wanna let us know?
Thanks,
Alan
