Stuart: I really do not know the cause of the spikes, perhaps they could be due to the clear filter I use to seal the camera
Rodney: Indeed M45 was a dificult object (three tries) due to its low elevation (taken last august) and the response of hypered TP to the scattered light. Thanks for your kind words
Scott: Yes, only two targets per night at f/10, but I like the resolution I get at 3.5 m focal lenght. The bands you observe are due to the processing applied to remove some uneven density on the negative

David, they are both excellent images! Tight round stars, little noise, nice job! The shot of NGC2403 is particularly nice - how do you get diffraction spikes in only one direction (or at all with an SCT)?
