RE: [APML] China Lucky 200

Yeah it does like awfully grainy. Now I'm not sure if it's really worth it, given that Fuji Super HQ 200 is showing the promise that it is.

Hi Jason
I'll try another roll just on some star trail shots and the like next
time we have clear skies (12" of snow expected tonight and the rest of
the dark of the moon period looks just as dismal) just to determine if
my son will have 8 rolls or less to play with. It will be interesting to
see if a 4 year old can grasp the concept of focusing...
At $1.20 a roll I figured that it was worth the crap shoot, but as Chris
and Stuart pointed out so far it doesn't look great (from a film QA
point of view).
There is a chance that this may be reject film/bargain basement dumpings
from the film company, I may still get one of our people to grab a five
rolls or so of the 400 speed before he comes back.
Below the main frame is a blowup of a small area that was scanned at
2700DPI and posted at full res, how does the grain look to you? I find
it grainy for a 200 speed film but since I have been looking at TP scans
for the last 2 months I may be expecting a little too much.
If the flaw only appears on that roll I'll get in touch with you for
your address and pop a couple of rolls down your way.

I'd say at least save a roll for when the skies clear up so you'll know for sure. Or, if you want you can send me a roll to test out. It stays pretty clear out here year-round.
