[APML] Film handling question
Does anyone know of a way to flatten rolled up *unexposed* film?
I'm starting to use a Schmidt camera which uses chips of medium format
film. The main problem has been handling these chips which want to curl
up into tight little rolls. I've been advised to try using pieces of 4x5
film instead of 120/220 film, but that reduces the available choices of
film.
Ideally I'd like to find something like a chemical soak to "relax" the
film, but if reverse rolling the film will do it without causing problems
such as kinks or cracked emulsion, please let me know your experienced
opinions.
Thanks,
Dave Kodama
