[APML] request II - unrelated (was: request)

In addition to Tony's EXCELLENT request for Gene (which I'd like to see
also!!!) reproduced as the "Original Message" below and hopefully about BOTH
the CCD and APML lists:

*** COULD SOMEONE PLEASE SEND ME DIRECTIONS/THE E-MAIL ADDRESS (via direct
e-mail) on how to "subscribe" to the CCD list? I've been un-subscribed from
the CCD list for some time now, likely due to "bounced e-mails". I promise
to continue to remain quiet over there until I learn more! ***

My Direct E-mail: deepskyphotos(insert "at" symbol)hotmail(dot)com
Thanks in Advance,
Jim Vineyard

BTW Tony if you're still here, Thanks Very Much for your explanation on
the CCD list which was posed by Steve Banbury about "autoguiders chasing the
seeing" now a long time ago, about the time I got un-subscribed. It caused
me to realize the "seeing" at my usual site is often dog-meat and I've since
usually relocated to the eastern-most ridge of what was once professionally
determined to have the best seeing of all the mountains in Southern
California.
There is a nice (but very rough) park service road which snakes up it's
eastern ridge, the seeing is usually superb and the elevation about exactly
6 miles up the road gets one above a good portion of the atmosphere,
especially the smog layer muck, and often the marine layer below at which
times it can become extremely dark.
Oh heck, I'll go ahead and post a pic from there. I wasn't going to post
it because of the "excessively blued-out" color correction and also lack of
color to the stars. I was going to stack it with the original to help fix
it. But it seems I'll never get around to fixing it and the type-o on the
page so just for the h**l of it, here it is:
www.deepskyphotos.com/m31.html

The original color the film portrayed was quite ruddy brownish for a
broadband object but seemed to have raw recording power greater than the now
old hypered LE400 (probably transportation heat damaged) supply I originally
obtained. Oh yeah, and it's taken with a real bargain-basement
scope/set-up. Sorry, I opt for the benefits of free trade and fully
understand the law of comparative advantage. But let's not open that can of
worms, and I mean really.

Hi Gene,

Could we PLEASE initiate a rule that COMPLIMENTS be sent directly to the
deserving recipient and NOT posted on the CCD list? A lot of people are
leaving this list because they don't have the time to read all that ... I
already left it some time ago but I would love to return if we can just make
this a rule ... this list was originally set up to discuss images and
techniques ... that's all I want to see ... compliments should be sent
person to person.

    Thanks,
