RE: [APML] Comet Machholz Oribital Plane crossing !

Gary, its the orbital plane of the comet projected onto the head, and appears as a sunward pointing spike, sometimes several degrees long.

Ok, Ive run the calculations, the Earth will pass
through the orbital plane of the comet on December
25th this year - and allready it looks like a fabulous
dust tail is forming.  This looks like a fabulous
opportunity to get a shot of something very rare - an
Antitail.
