Hi,

I have an impression very similar to Stuart's.  It appeared too smooth
at the first
glance.  Then I realized this may not be the case.  Even if there is
some information
lost in the second image, it should be very little.  On the other
hand, I found myself
totally comfortable with the first image.  The noise doesn't bother me
at all.  Personally
I may go somewhere betwen the raw and the smoothed images.
