Hi Tony,
The problem is that L-R decon can only be successfully applied to
oversampled images. The images taken with the AP155 and ST11K
are undersampled and would not benefit from deconvolution. In general
images should be taken at >2000mm FL to benefit from deconvolution.

    When you created a synthetic luminance by combining all the RGB exposures, could you not have used a L-R decon routine to sharpen it and then combine it with the color information to increase the sharpness? Have you looked at the ImagesPlus decon routines ... Mike has one that can limit the noise accentuation ...
 
    To all the APML'ers ... Mike has a trial version of this software that you can download for free ... I don't know how well this software will work with film but it might be worth looking into.
