Re: [APML] Processing of M42 (STL11000M)

Tony;

I have ImagesPlus. Works great with film, though I'm still feeling my way around it (it would be nice if the clouds would cooperate so I could get some more images to tinker with). If anyone does decide to get it, I would highly recommend they get the teaching CD's as well.

Hi Rob,

    When you created a synthetic luminance by combining all the RGB exposures, could you not have used a L-R decon routine to sharpen it and then combine it with the color information to increase the sharpness? Have you looked at the ImagesPlus decon routines ... Mike has one that can limit the noise accentuation ...

    To all the APML'ers ... Mike has a trial version of this software that you can download for free ... I don't know how well this software will work with film but it might be worth looking into.
