Re: [APML] OT: M42 with the Canon 10D



Chris, they are both 6.3 megapixel resolution,
although the CMOS chips are not exactly the same.

A different manufacturing process is supposedly used
for the 300D CMOS chip, but no details are provided,
and the 300D chip is manufactured in Taiwan as opposed
to Japan.  However, 300D noise levels are equivalently
low compared to the 10D, and the resolution of the
images that I've seen so far has been good.

Kevin, my limiting magnitude is usually around 4.
