Re: [APML] OT: porm spam flood

Not only the spam servers are offshores, the companies advertising using these servers are also offshores. This mean they dont give
a sh... of any bill voted in the occidental countries where they send their spam ... this bill will change nothing.

Two weeks ago I dropped an email address I had for more than 8 years because of spam. There is NO way to be completely removed from
their lists. This address is doomed for ever! Even if it is inactive for several months or years. These spam servers never looks to
the error messages returned by the target mail servers so they will never know this email doesn't exist anymore.

Since countries like China are not even respecting international copyrigths laws, I think it will only get worst in a near future.
Most major software companies are investing millions of $ to develop anti-spam software ... lets hope they will succeeded!

So if you want to COMPLETELY stop receiving spam, the answer is YES, the only solution for now is to change your email ...

Clear skies!

Maybe this is a dumb idea but if it is hard to determine where the spam
originates, would it be possibly a reasonable approach to prosecute those
companies that pay for the spamming? Surely those companies that are trying
to sell me viagra, penis enlargement kits and all the rest of the junk must
be paying the spammers right? I haven't clicked through to see where the
links in the spam take me, but it does seem that the target would be
identifiable and if targeted for prosecution and or retaliatory spamming,
would cut off the air from the spammers, no?
