Marco, very nice image - particularly the original data!

While I'm glad to see that you were able to apply the embossing effect very well, I just noticed one flaw in its use.

One of the general assumptions of creating an embossed layer is that brighter areas are "higher" than darker areas.  This is true with uniform surfaces (i.e., one color), but definitely not true with the Moon.  There are many impact craters in the maria that are brighter than the surrounding lava (because brighter, underlying material is exposed), but the embossing effect makes them appear like little bumps instead of depressions.

I still am amazed at the detail brought out in the "highlands" (lower right of your image), but your original is so nice, I think you should stick with that one.
