Hi all,
Making deep sky images at full moon with a
Ha-filter is a funny thing. Last weekend I tried some mosaics for the first
time.
The first one is a 3 piece mosaic of the California
Nebula, done with my ZEISS SONAR 300/4, each image for 6 x 20 min with the
Astronomik Ha-Filter. The moon was only about 15° away from the
nebula!
The second is a 2 piece mosaic of the NGC 281, done
with my VC200L at f/6.3, each image for 6 x 20 min with the Astronomik
Ha-Filter:
The HX916 needs a bit more exposure time than other
CCD-cameras at Ha, but it works. Before I got this CCD, the time around full
moon was the time for sleeping or other importand things. That is definitly
over!
Have fun,
Manfred
