Now I too am the owner of a GP mount, which I bought second-hand to have
something lighter and more portable than the GM-8, which is still the main
mount. (I know many fellow members who own monster mounts will laugh at
that, but the G11 is not what I'd call "portable" :-) )

I've checked out some units in "flesh and blood", and I must say that while
they look cool, I'm not completely convinced by their real quality; to me,
it's a step further more in the esthetics than in real performance, at least
as compared with a GP-DX (e.g. lower load rating). But I don't have any
actual field experience, so take this with a big grain of salt. :-))

I agree :-))

Best regards,
