[APML] [OT] Vixen GP and GP-DX mounts discontinued?

Hi all,
sorry if this slightly off-topic subject has already come up. Last weekend, 
while at an amateur astronomer fair here in Italy, there were rumors among 
several astro equipment dealers of Vixen being about to discontinue its GP 
and GP-DX mounts, in favor of the latest, more advanced Sphinx model. 

This mount has a cool drive unit with a LCD display: but what is its quality 
like? Since I do not intend to purchase it, my question is just for the sake 
of curiosity :-)) 

Anybody know anything about this?
