Well, i look for a pleasant overal color balance,
specially in the higher sky, wich is less polluted by
airmasses and city lights. Other important thing is to
have nice colors on the trails (not oversaturated, but
that clearly shows the color of the star). Otherwise
is the same processing as othe AP pics...

Try to resize the image to a 2 multiple of the
original size, i.e. half size, one quarter, etc. That
happens due a poor interpolation routine that
generates the broken trails. Perhaps another integer
subsample will give good enought results too...
