No, it worked right out of the box and indeed it makes a fine visual
accessory too.

Yes I do focus visually. I do not wear glasses so I don't know how
glasses will have an influence on the result. With the procedure below
it should work anyway. Once you get the setting rings calibrated it
should work as long as you always use your glasses.

Yes, I've tried this as well with a different eyepiece and it works well
as long as nobody else plays with your setting rings ;-)
For the procedure to focus the ST4 with the help of a PC you can use
AstroArt or Maxim. Both are ok and there might be also other software
products that will do the job.
