[APML] NGC7000 in Tech Pan
Hi APMLer's,
I took a shot of the North American Nebula last Saturday night under a
nearly first quarter moon. It was sort of a test of the tracking on my mount
as well as the polar alignment. Plus, like John Mirtle, I wanted to see what
would happen with the Kenko R64 filter under the bright moon. This is no
John Mirtle shot, but I was fairly pleased with the result. My neighbors
were kind enough to turn on their Christmas lights during the exposure as
well. Normally with the leaves on the trees, any exterior lighting is
blocked around my yard. My house sits on 5 acres so most outdoor lights are
not a bother.

Comments and criticism welcome.
Thanks,
