Re: [APML] M45

Gorgeous image Tony!  The whispy structure in the nebula is amazing.  Blows away all other M45's I've seen.
What did you do in your processing to shrink the stars?

Hello,

Well... it's official... we have an El Nino... already got my truck stuck in the snow up on Foresthill Road because I had "summer tires" on the rims... guess I'll have to get some real tires now... winter wonderland!

Something Matt said got me going on a project... the nebulosity surrounding the bright stars on M45... all the shots I see have the area blown out... so is it possible to shrink the stars and see what's underneath? Yes sir... but only with negative film I guess. Coincidently you'll notice the histogram came out just about perfect...

I have stacks and stacks of negatives that were never scanned or processed properly so if the weather won't co-operate, guess you guys are going to have to be subjected to "re-do's" every now and then...

    Have a great one,

         Tony
