Hello All
I'm just typing up my local astro club's January
newsletter, and it occured to me that as of tomorrow, 22nd December, Saturn is
within one degree of M1.
A lot of you image with wider fields of view that
this, so would it be prudent to get some test shots done now to try to get a
feel for this extraordinary difference in brightness.
OK, I know that Saturn will overexpose after
several seconds, and you'll need a minimum of say, 10 minutes on the Crab, but
one roll of film exposed now may help you to determine the best method to adopt
nearer the time.
I'd have a go myself, but weather here is Southern
England sucks at the moment and not likely to clear for several
days/weeks.
Just my thoughts - maybe someone's already
mentioned this and I didn't read it.
