Is a studio music recording using a multitrack tape recorder a fake?
Is an edited movie or video a fake?
Is a digitally processed image a fake?
Is a Chandra image a fake?
What! You cleaned the dust spots out of your image in Photoshop? Faker!

I don't think any one of us has a lock on what real and fake are.
Nor do I think a consensus of this entire list would be recognized a de facto standard.
Nor do I think this list could arrive at a consensus on this.

My personal opinion is that AP is art.
It's your thing. Do watcha wanna do.

My only personal request is that you be truthful about how you produce the image.
