Re: [APML] M31

Hi Warren,
It seems like I'm always behind 100 or so messages in my APML reading
lately and hence the late response. I think you have graduated also, and
have an excellent M31 to be proud of.
Since I just picked up Photoshop 7 I've been playing around with it a lot.
One thing seems immediately apparent between it and Photoshop "Limited
Edition" which I had been using. The "Curves" function works MUCH better
and differently. I've been experimenting with it too.
However, having become so familier with the functions of "Levels" used "in
combination with ALL the other tools under Image>Adjustments>..." and also
those under "Filter". I couldn't help trying playing with your excellent
M31 within PS7.
So I greatly hope you don't mind that I absconded with your photo for play
time. I'd like to know if you think there is improvement, or if you just
plain like the result.
All adjustments were made outside of "Curves" (I figured they were well
done already) and even resulted in of all things, nice "correct" histograms.
I'm also a huge fan of "galactic blue" though. There are no external links
to the results except as posted here and I'll take them down later if you
wish. All Photographs ©2002 by Warren Keller!
It's been a very long time since I've done much processing, so what do you
think, improvement or not?
