Hey Alan

I understand that the 14" Meade SC is priced to "persuade" people not to buy
the Celestron C14.
If you look at the pricing structure of the full range of Meades, the 14"
would "appear" to have an artificially low/good price.

Is this good for the consumer/astronomer - yes if you want a new scope
cheaper than it normally would/should be, but if it forces the other guy out
of business, then I'm not so sure, in the long run.

This is just my two penneth worth - I do not use a Meade or a Celestron.
