The
biggest difference will be portability (besides the +2" in aperture). I have the
12" and it about as much weight as I would want to go, especially when lifting
it onto a wedge. Plus, the 12" is rather bulky when in it's soft carrying case.
Now, I'm not sure how much more the 14" is going to be, nor how much bigger, but
I imagine it will be significant enough.
My bottom line would be, 14" if mounted on a pier
or if you have no fear of lifting bulky/heavy objects.
