That is very interesting. It sort of confirms my idea. M42 is so complex.
I believe the results people get depends on the media and also the deepness
of the exposure. Visually we know there's alot of OIII, hence the green
color
in the eyepiece. I believe the OIII is overwhelmed in most images because of
all the HII emission and the inability of the media to record it.
