RE: [APML] What off axis guider
Robert,
You can also count me in the ranks of a delighted Taurus Tracker III user.
They recently began producing a full-size rear-cell adapter for the 10" and
12" scopes, so the vignetting is tremendously reduced. I did a side-by-side
comparison of vignetting between the TT III and the Giant Easy Guider with a
10" LX200 Classic, and while the TT III had more of it, it was only slightly
more and probably not even noticeable in normal use. The ease of centering
and focusing with the TT III far more than make up for it! I have a friend
who has the GEG and when we are out shooting together, I'm ALWAYS 5-10
minutes into my shot before he even starts.
Please note, though, you MUST remember to pull the find/focus mirror up out
of the way before you shoot! This is from painful experience...<G>...

I use the Taurus and I love it. It does everything you
want, can be left on the scope all the time, including
visual use.
