RE: [APML] M42: Deep and Detailed
Rob,
That is outstanding. You know when I see the extent of nebulosity in this
image, I question one of our film imaging techniques for balancing an image
with a portion of "black" sky. It is apparent that there is no black sky in
the M42 region<g> Now, does our film ever pick up even the slightest hint
of this nebulosity even with exposures that aren't as deep as your CCD
image? I hope you don't mind, but I may download your image for reference
on future color balancing of some M42 work I hope to get done with some
Techpan and color film. Thanks for posting!

Hi all,
Here is my my latest mosaic project. Its a 9 frame
mosaic of M42 taken with the RC and a variety of cameras
including SBIG and nonSBIG cameras. Take a look at both
the large and small images. The large one's for detail but the
smaller file helps to appreciate the deepness of the image.
