Re: [APML] Website Creating Software? (OT)
New Member from New MexicoA few other suggestions Lydia;
Notepad is easy to use, vi isn't too bad either but often comes with
some kind of Unix attached to it. Microsoft Word creates rather messy and
bloated XML based pages, not fully compatible with older browsers like IE3.
Microsoft Works word processor saves in pretty good, clean HTML and I
believe that Publisher does too. If you have Netscape, their Composer
software (free with Netscape) is not too bad. If your computer is a bit more
"mature", IE4 came with Outlook Express. A bit clunky, but useable. I am not
100% sure, but I think that the word processor in Open Office (free) also
saves in good, clean HTML.
Creating HTML is only the first challenge. The real head scratcher is
figuring out what you want your web site to look like.... :-)
