Just saw this about 20-25 minutes ago. I made a copy
(just in case), then did about 5 iterations of curves.
I think it looks fairly close to your curved image. I
want to sit and watch 'Taken' so I've run out of time.

Here's one of my big problems though, I don't know
how, or even if it's possible (as I don't have a web
page of any kind yet), for me to post my result. I
have it minimized in PS, not saved yet. Now what? 

Some day I'll understand how to use a computer. You
have no idea how lucky I was to even get your image to
my computer. :-)
