That's what it looks like.  You might turn down the brightness of your reticle.  Also, I've seen light leakage from red exposure indicator LED's.  If you can, take the batteries out of the camera (I don't know if you can with your camera).  I use a Nikon FM which doesn't require a battery to hold the shutter open.

This is my first attempt with prime focus photography and it wasn’t very successful. This list was recommended for help.

 

If anyone has any idea what this big red square is on my picture please HELP!  I think it is some type of reflection from the red cross hairs of the reticle eyepiece reflecting back inside the camera body.  All of the information regarding my setup is on the bottom of the web page with the picture.
