Thanks all for the comments on my M81 shot. I'm going to take
another crack at processing it with the helpful tips of Glenn Matt and Bert.

Warren, I'm hypering RG200 for 2hrs in the
film canister at +3 and 50c. It seems to be about right.
Gerry and Fabrizio, yes I used a Meade 8" SCT on a MI250
mount. This is the only optical tube I currently own that I use for
astrophotography. I have a little computerized Nextar 80GT I use for fun visual
stuff during astrophotos but it's obviously not suited for
photography!
